Taste homemade dishes made with local products, take a walk on the green hills or attend a wine tasting organised by your agriturismo.
An agriturismo is a farm where you stay in a renovated apartment, hotel, or even a villa. The farmers have transformed the places into something beautiful and often still work in the countryside. What makes a holiday at an agriturismo so special is that you come into contact with real farm life. This means that you can also enjoy all the goodies that come with it. For example, at one of my agriturismo accommodations where you can stay in Tuscany they produce wine, olive oil, and cheese.
Tuscany is the right place for you to taste authentic flavors! In cities such as Florence, Siena, Volterra, and Lucca you can relax on a terrace to try dishes from Tuscan cuisine. But the picturesque villages of Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano are always on my list. When I go to the restaurants there, I take a different wine from this region every time.

And when you arrive at the agriturismo in Tuscany, you will be greeted by the old farmhouses with a driveway of elegant cypress trees. Besides the fact that I love driving through this special landscape, it is also useful in Tuscany to have a car, whether it is your own car or a rental car. The agriturismo is often located in a remote location, which means that you can move from one point to another much faster by car.
