Seasons Greetings in the sun! It’s nice every now and again to see out the year at one of my beautiful little spots in the Mediterranean. For a start you get sun, which can’t really be said of Britain in December! Temperatures are milder than in summer, and the crowds have gone. The overall vibe is rather calm and inviting and it’s a great time of the year to explore a new destination. It’s like calling a truce with winter!

In winter, you can find me on the gorgeous sandy beaches of Fuerteventura. This Canary Island almost always comes through with wonderful weather, and boasts the most hours of annual sunshine in the whole of Europe: no less than 3,000! I like to extend my tour to Lanzarote. Situated near the Moroccan coast, it has a warm and dry climate. Perfect for my winter sun holiday!
