Sun holidays in January

Winter in the UK… Hmm, not the most inviting of thoughts! I always escape for a winter break and either opt for somewhere cool but sunny. In which case Italy is wonderful, and its vineyards look magnificent this time of the year. Or somewhere even warmer like Spain, Portugal or Cyprus. I especially love winters on the Canary Islands. The sun is usually out, people are in a great mood, and tapas taste the same all year round! What a way to spend the winter.

Booking a January holiday

These are my favourite locations for a January break. Simply book a holiday to one of my small-scale locations. But be quick, they fill up fast!

Cyprus, Madeira, the Canaries, southern Portugal and southern Spain are my favourite sun destinations in January. Average temps range from 15 to 20°C, which makes this the ideal time of year to wander through the charming cities or immerse myself in the local culture in traditional villages. In Cyprus, I saw spas with whirlpools, perfect for the ultimate relaxation in the winter months. I have even found a few spots for you with a private sauna or massage service!
