It's hard to pick the perfect European destination in August. The entire Mediterranean is basking in the hot sun, waiting for me to arrive! That is why I often choose a European tour in August. That way I can get to know multiple places in one trip at the best time of the year.

During this month, island hopping is my favourite, for instance on the Maltese archipelago. I get to discover pretty little Gozo and uninhabited Comino as well as sunny Malta.
Italy is another great destination for a Mediterranean tour. I love to wander through the picturesque town of Assisi in Umbria and finish the day in the scenic Tuscan hills, staying in an authentic Agriturismo. My rental car really takes me to the most special places.
