Thinking of the warm Spanish sun, I cannot wait to pack my suitcase for a last-minute holiday to this year-round favourite. Authentic fincas, a varied traditional cuisine and endless rolling hills – Spain has it all! I hop into my rental car, and take the winding roads through the green mountains towards my small-scale locations. You can find these all over the Spanish mainland as well as on the many Spanish islands. Wherever you go, you're sure to enjoy the Spanish sun!
Spain is one of my favourite countries for a Fly & Drive holiday. Travelling this way has led me to many unique locations. In Andalusia, I toured gorgeous historic cities like Seville and Granada. I spent hours there just wandering through little streets and alleys.
Equally great for your last-minutes trips are Spain's sun-drenched islands. The Canaries offer pleasant temperatures all year round. And their landscapes are an attraction in themselves; from banana plantations on Tenerife to the quiet moon-like terrain on La Palma or Lanzarote's black lava beaches. And how could I forget Gran Canaria's famous sand dunes?
The Balearic Islands are another favourite for a last-minute holiday. Majorca and Ibiza in particular offer clear blue seas and many pretty bays and beaches.
What all these destinations have in common, is that you'll always enjoy the wonderful temperatures and the delicious food. My Spanish owners are ready to welcome you with open arms. Book a last minute to Spain today, and within 3 weeks you'll be sitting under the Spanish sun eating tapas and drinking a nice sangria.
If I could leave for Spain tomorrow, I totally would. Southern Spain is where I really got to know the taste of tapas, the golden beaches and the kind locals. Whether I'm in a holiday home with swimming pool, a spacious family apartment or a hotel with wellness facilities; I always have a fabulous time here! And I just love the glorious Spanish islands, each with their unique features, special locations and colourful villages.
A last-minute break during the summer is always good! From May to late October, temperatures are high, the sun is shining and the sea water invites you to cool off. June, July and August are particularly popular, with visitors from abroad and Spanish people alike. You will definitely find the Spanish on the beaches, and really be among the locals.
Spain is equally wonderful in winter. Whether it's January or November, the sun is warm enough to walk around in just a t-shirt. The Canary Islands and Andalusia in particular are great destinations for a last-minute winter holiday.
If you book a package holiday with me, It always includes stay plus rental car!
