A great destination all year round. If it were up to me, I'd take a last-minute trip to Portugal every couple of weeks! Whether you're going for a short trip or for your summer holidays, the locals are always happy to welcome you with their typical hospitality.
During my Fly & Drive holidays in Portugal, I have discovered many small-scale locations for you. Whether they're near the golden beaches or in the rolling hills, you'll find the last-minute break for you.
If I want to be surrounded by vineyards, I travel to the Costa Verde in northern Portugal. The views there completely clear my head. For something a little more exciting, I travel to the Costa de Lisboa. Near bustling cities like Lisbon, this destination is great for a city trip to pick up some souvenirs.
If you're after a beach holiday, the Algarve is where you want to go. With its many sun hours and endless coastline, this is the perfect place for a relaxing sun holiday. And when I want to experience island life, I head to beautiful Madeira. And let's not forget the space and silence of Alentejo. The sheer variety of great last minutes to Portugal never seizes to amaze me!
Keen to pack your bags? Book a last minute to Portugal today, and within 3 weeks you'll be sitting under the Portuguese sun at one of my spots away from the crowds.
It doesn't get more authentic than visiting a Portuguese quinta in a gorgeous countryside location. Quintas come in many shapes and sizes. Surrounded by nature, I feel myself unwind. A great spot to get away from it all!
In Alentejo, you'll find cosy B&Bs in the middle of the green forests. Their sweet owners are proud of their accommodation and are keen to give you tips about the area. For real privacy, I choose a break in the Algarve or on Madeira. Close to the beach, I love jumping in my rental car and before I even realise I have my feet in the soft sand. For a luxury getaway, I book a hotel or apartment at the Costa de Lisboa. With my many spots in Portugal, I'm sure I have the perfect one for your last minute!
A trip to Portugal is lovely all year round. In summer, you get to enjoy the warm temperatures; a last-minute trip in June, July and August is perfect for sun lovers! In winter, the Portuguese climate is mild, especially good for an active holiday.
If you book a flight holiday with me, it always includes accommodation and rental car!
